FAQ

  • Where is the store based?

    Miami, FL

  • Hey! What's with all the "Photos Coming Soon" pictures?

    Short answer:

I screwed up and am right now working to reprint just about every design to rephotograph. The "coming soon" pics will be replaced as soon as possible over the coming weeks, but will work well enough for a stopgap fix.

    Long answer:

I had originally photographed all the designs about 8 months ago around the end of October 2019, well before signing up on this website, but around the time I decided I would definitely open an online shop. As I had printed quite a few to sell at my friend's booth for conventions we was going to, I figured why not take the product pics then as I had a bunch on hand? In the end, I had around 70 pictures ready and waiting for wherever I would eventually set up shop.

With the pictures taken, I went on to sell every box I had made up to that point and then some and really didn't think about them. Fast forward to May 26th 2020. Thanks to friends and acquaintances, I'm printing these boxes mostly on demand and have zero finished stock directly on hand thanks to the state of the world. Plan being to print the boxes on demand anyway just in case people wanted particular color choices.

With the last few pieces falling into place to open at the end of the month, I got back around to the only major task left, do some minor balance work on the pictures and upload them all. That's when I finally notice that Storenvy is designed around square aspect ratios for pictures and their upload size limits. Simple resize and crop shouldn't be too bad, until I realize that almost every single picture would severely cut-off the product.

Out of the 70 pictures I had taken, only 4 could be properly cropped to fit. Tried uploading non-square pictures to test and they tended to break every layouts something fierce. Thus, I had a choice. I could stay closed and take the pictures, which would easily have been 3 weeks minimum printing, Take my chances opening with only 2 products having pictures and hide the rest, only revealing them as I got the pictures done, or fully open and just upload the pictures as I get them done. After talking with some friends (Btw, THANK YOU THOMAS for the placeholder image idea), here we are. The store opened May 31st 2020, on time somewhat as I wanted to go live at the end of May at the latest.

All that was to say I really should have payed closer attention earlier when setting up the store. If I hadn't been concerned about other, behind the scenes aspects, I'd have a much more finished storefront with pictures of all the products. I screwed up. First time trying all this stuff, but still a lesson well learned.

  • Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

Tentatively, yes, I do accept orders for outside the US, but I am still looking into the requirements for doing so and reserve the right to cancel and refund prior to shipping.

  • How long will it take to receive my order?

The answer can be a bit... complicated. Providing everything is going right, time-tables should go as follows.

If you've ordered a pre-made/designed dicebox that is in stock, products will typically ship the next day.

If I am out of the particular pre-made/designed dicebox you are looking for, printing and polishing will typically take 3 days before shipping.

If you've ordered a custom designed dice box, the delivery time will depend partially on you. Before printing can even begin, the final design must be approved by you and, after payment has been received, the box will be added to the printing queue with some priority. Providing there are no other custom dice boxes ahead, as with printing a regular dice box, it should be ready to ship after 3 days.

Once the item has been shipped, domestic orders should typically take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery estimates are unknown at this time.

TL:DR This means that normal, already printed boxes should be in your hands in 2-10 days, reprinted boxes should be in 5 to 13 days, and custom boxes should also be 5 to 13 days after you approve the design and pay.

  • Your timelines are wrong and I still don't have my order! Where is my stuff?

Ah, the caveat to the rundown.

That was all stated in with a perfect world in mind. If I have all the filaments, if I have no shows that I am attending, if the printer doesn't require maintenance, if everything goes through properly....

Long story short, things happen and we live in a chaotic world. I'll do my best to actually keep all contact channels open and attempt to update if things are heading down toward Snafu-town. If I miss something, or an unexpected event occurs, delays very well may happen and I'll do my best to communicate either directly through email with you or attempt general through other channels such as twitter (@RasielDraconis) or other means.
